From Information Age

"The demand for data scientists across Europe increased significantly during the first half of 2016, according to new data.

The latest market analysis from Procorre has shown a 45% increase in the number of data scientist roles across EU countries in the last six months.

As the big data and Internet of Things (IoT) sectors continue to mature, the UK remains the largest market by job creation, having seen a 32% increase in the number of data scientists.

However, France – the second largest market – is closing the gap fast with a 59% increase in jobs.

Elsewhere in Europe, Portugal saw the biggest growth in the number of data scientists (79%), although it is one of the smallest markets.”
