NCC Members Question: IT Department Structure

NCC Members can ask relevant questions of the wider NCC membership, moderated by NCC. We collate the responses, where appropriate anonymise them, then publish the results on the website for the benefit of the wider Membership. Can you help with this question from a housing association?

“In light of current budget constraints our IT management team are reviewing the department structure to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency and we were hoping to draw on the experiences of NCC members to develop the new model. Most of the day to day operations are outsourced so I would be particularly keen to hear from any other organisation that has the responsibility of managing this type of outsourced contract as well as providing in-house services.
