Agile Project Management (Birmingham)

10 May 2011

AgileDownload the presentations

This seminar will demonstrate how you can introduce an Agile approach into your organisation: how to get the buy-in from the business, how to get the approval of the technical team and the steps you need to take to make all your projects successful.

In short, you will learn about how to adopt an agile approach, how to keep agile projects running – even alongside more traditional projects – and how to ensure that the management receives the correct information about the status and progress of your project portfolio.

The seminar covers the details of agile project management processes and documents; explores the principles of agile delivery, showing that it is imperative to focus on continuous refinement; that the traditional alternatives often give only a fragile feeling of control and planning.

Delving into the details, you will discover the product backlog and release plan. Learn the importance of the definitions of done in the product backlog; the importance of the selections of the stories from the product backlog into a release plan. Fundamentally, that an Agile approach provides a strategy that enables you to assess rough estimates on the complexity of the entire project without analysing the details upfront. The session will share practical examples of the agile approach, which will enable the technical experts to fully engage with and embrace the agile concepts.
