TeleWare offers Microsoft integration

TeleWareMicrosoft has signalled its intent in the unified communications market with the recent release of Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Office Communications Server (OCS). TeleWare, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, has developed a solution that enables customers using these Microsoft applications to integrate with their existing voice services – providing presence input from legacy PBX, mobile and PSTN into the Microsoft client.

TeleWare shares the Microsoft vision for delivering the benefits of unified communications – to provide organisations with a simple roadmap for integrating their communications environment with their Microsoft desktop in a mixed-vendor environment (see Figure 1).

The TeleWare solution is designed to enhance the communications experience of the entire organisation, providing the benefits of unified communications and presence awareness to staff irrespective of what telephone system they are running, and ensuring that the presence information can cover all the users in the organisation whether on the legacy PBX or the new OCS solution.

TeleWare’s focus is on enabling customers to move to the Microsoft solution while allowing people to work from wherever they choose with all the benefits of unified communications without having to migrate to a fully IP architecture immediately.

This solution delivers the benefits of presence and IP telephony services in a practical way that streamlines implementation, offering quicker and more cost-effective deployment and improved return on investment.
